Responsibilities

• Secretary, Central Apprenticeship Council (CAC). Convene meetings of CAC/transact business by circulations.

• Follow up action on recommendations of CAC.

• Legislative work related to Apprentices Act, 1961 and Rules made thereunder.

• Reply to references received from organisations & individuals related to Apprenticeship Training Scheme(ATS).

• Monitoring of ATS for all categories of apprentices.

• Implementations of Apprentices Act, 1961 in respect trade apprentices in Central Govt. Deptts. & undertaking through six Regional Director of Apprenticeship Training.
